UM wireless module with USB adapter
This is plug-and-play module which connects to USB port and allows to send and receive the weather data as well as any other data directly from your PC.
Data reception from the weather station can be poor if the receiver is inside the building or does not have a clear view of the mountain. For the best results, please, move the antenna close to the window.
Technical details
The standard package includes the wireless module tuned to 430Mhz, rubber duck type antenna and USB adapter to connect to your PC. There's no power cord, since the module uses the power over USB cable.
Once the device is connected to the USB port, Windows will ask about installation of "USB Serial Converter" drivers (included in all recent Windows versions). After the installation is completed, you may start HyperTerm or any other terminal software and attach to available COM port. Communication settings are 1200baud, 8bits, EVEN parity, 1 stop bit.
